ProRes, ProRes RAW, standard MXF, R3D, ARRIRAW, BRAW, and the common delivery codecs (H.264, HEVC, DNxHR, XAVC). Some proprietary RAW formats are decoded through the camera maker's own decoder installed on your Mac — if your NLE can play it, Montaggio can index it.

No. Indexing, face grouping, transcription, and search all run on-device. Nothing is uploaded, no account is required, and Montaggio works with the network cable unplugged.

A Mac running macOS 14 or later. Apple silicon is recommended for the fastest indexing; libraries keep working offline once indexed.
